An Arizona native, Dr. Wight grew up in Mesa, AZ. He is a proud Sund Devil graduating with his BS in Kinesiology from Arizona State University. He received his dental degree from Loma Linda University and then completed a one-year AEGD residency through AT STILL University. He practiced general dentistry in a variety of settings for almost 10 years. Through personal experience with chronic head and neck pain he was introduced to the specialty of orofacial pain and through his personal journey, realized he wanted to help others who suffer from similar conditions. He completed a two-year residency in orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine at UCLA and served as the chief resident.
Dr. Wight understands the toll chronic pain can have on your physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Through active listening and open communication, he works with his patients to develop a personalized treatment plan to help alleviate their pain and enhance their overall well-being and quality of life. He limits his practice to the treatment of those suffering with chronic and head and neck pain, including TMJ, Headache and migraine, and obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Wight is Board certified by the American Board of Orofacial Pain and is one of less than 300 Board certified orofacial pain specialists. He is a member of the academy of Orofacial Pain(AAOP) American Headache Society (AHS), Headache Cooperative of the Pacific (HCOP) American Dental Association (ADA) Arizona Dental Association (AzDA). He has served in his local dental society and volunteered to help serve those in need at the Mission of Mercy event.
Dr. Wight is married with two beautiful daughters and in his free time you might see him coaching baseball or Volleyball or exploring the mountains. He also enjoys serving and volunteering with his church and community.
